Laika – Nevuot VeHespedim (2010)
A Theatrical New-Media Show
By Lior Herman and Yonatan Shohat
Laika, the Russian cosmonaut dog, invites the audience to take a seat at the roundtable and take part in a digital séance. On a table covered in white books, Laika puts on 22 short stories revolving around people and places who have been swallowed whole, like her, in the endless journey towards the future.
A mosaic of sounds and echoes from our common cultural past, some imaginary some historical, have come together in a deceiving journey into a world fading away – using video projections, musical toys and a bit of luck.
